Keurig Update: Breakfast Trio

See my earlier posts for more information on the basic use of this machine.

Instant Oatmeal

1.  Preheat water.

2.  Choose a mug, bowl or dish.
 Empty pouch into it.

3.  Choose and add water amount.

 Stir.

Cover it to help hold in heat for 2-5 minutes.

You can use a measuring cup for the exact amount of water or come close to it on the choice menu.

4.  Add any of your favorite toppings:  cinnamon, milk, nuts, almond milk, brown sugar, honey, etc.

For this brand (found at the dollar store), I used 2 packages of Peaches and Cream Instant Oatmeal with 8 ounces of water.  Then I stirred in a little cream and topped with  pecans and sweetened dried cranberries and a sprinkling of cinnamon.  You can adjust the thickness of the oatmeal by adding more hot water or less.

Instant Oatmeal Bowl

1. Totally remove the lid.
2.  Add water to the fill line.  For this brand use 4 ounces water.
3.  Stir well, let sit for 2-5 minutes.

I stirred in some cream.  Add any of your favorite toppings.

Instant Cream of Wheat

1.  Place cereal in bowl.

2.  Add 1/2 cup (4 ounces) of Keurig hot water.

3.  Stir until blended.

No need to cover.  It will continue to thicken as it sits for 2-5 minutes.

H B Burritto Maker and Keurig Update

Here's another recipe for you.  See the Oct. 7, 2016 article, if needed, on how to use this machine and put this recipe together.  This recipe is great for breakfast, lunch or supper.  I served it with apple juice and used the Keurig to make Peach and Cinnamon Hot Tea.

Kelly's Fiesta Tacos

2 white corn tortillas

Egg filling:

1 egg
1/16 teaspoon each:  garlic powder, sea salt and black pepper
1 tablespoon each:  onion, sweet peppers, mushrooms

Toppings:
sour cream
sliced avocado
shredded lettuce
salsa
fresh tomatoes
fresh cilantro and basil
2  tablespoons or 1/8 cup, shredded mozzarella cheese

Peach and Cinnamon Hot Tea

3 dried or fresh peach tree leaves (organic)
sprinkle of cinnamon, ground
sweeten  if desired

Follow my earlier blogs about how to use this machine to make hot tea.

How to Use the Avocado Peeler Slicer

Cut a line around the avocado.

Use tool center to remove the pit.

Use divided edge to scoop, slice and peel the avocado.

I love this tool.  I use a lot of fresh avocado and this tool is perfect.  Before the pit was hard to remove.  This perfectly slices while peeling the avocado with a scooping type of move.  Save the seed and grow avocado trees like I do, it's easy!

Keurig Update

Keurig Ramen Veggie Soup

1  3oz. pkg. ramen noodle soup
1/2 - 1 cup of your favorite veggies, extremely thin slices (use a mandolin or slicer)
Toppings like:  fresh herbs (basil, green onion top, garlic green top, chives, cilantro, etc.) parmesean cheese, seasonings, butter spray

1.  Fill Keurig water tank with filtered water to fill line.  Preheat the water.

2. Prepare vegetables.  For carrots and zucchini, the mandolin or slicer is perfect.

Sissors work well for the fresh herbs.

Place in the serving dish.  Pour in the seasoning packet.  Add the noodles.

3.  Lift machine handle, press dispense hot water, continue then 10 oz. (depends on the dish size).  Press dry noodles into liquid then again at about 1/2 minute.

Cover for about 6 minutes.  Stir just the noodles at about 4 minutes.  After 6 minutes stir the vegetables at the bottom into the noodles.

 Add any toppings you like.

I think this tastes better made on the stove top but this is nice on days when you don't want to heat up the house and or like aldente better.

The bottom 1/3 of the dish is where the soupy part is.

This machine was won on a penny auction.  I paid less than 70 cents for it, brand new and it had free shipping to the U.S.A.http://branding.auctions3c.com/
