Keurig Macaroni & Cheese Cup

See basic Keurig usage instructions in my earlier blogs.

1.  Pre- heat filtered water.  Remove lid.  Add cheese packet, stir.

2.  Dispense 4 oz. water (for this brand) or to fill line.

3.  Cover cup with lid or saucer.  Wait 6 minutes then stir again.

4.  Slice 1 pre-cooked sausage and 2-4 tablespoons chopped tiny frozen asparagus tips.  Stir into cup.

5.  Microwave 1 minute, stir.  Microwave 1 more minute.

6.  Top with parmesean cheese, black pepper, or Trocomare Seasoning salt (very lightly sprinkled).

Tip:  leave it plain or use any add ins or toppings you want like:  leftover cooked vegetables, cooked meat, bacon bits and seasonings.

Keurig Cup of Noodles

These are great for anytime day or night.  Once while flying to Asia, a passenger across the isle, durning the middle of the night flight, asked the flight attendant for a cup of noodles somewhat like these ones shown here.  It smelled so good that my son and I also asked for them.

For Brunch this morning I made a Nissin Cup of Noodles (no artificial flavors, no added MSG, from the dollar store).  I added 2 teaspoons oat bran before adding the 10 oz. water and let it sit, covered for 10 minutes.  Stirred then added chopped fresh parsley, cilantro and green onion tops.  This helped to tone down the sodium, giving extra fiber and nutrients.  See my earlier blogs about how to use this machine.

Following is how to use your machine for a simple cup of noodles.

Choose your brand of cup of noodles.

Remove packaging and lid part way or all the way off.

Add 10 oz. hot water for this brand.

Cover the cup and wait for 10 minutes.  Stir.  Add your favorite toppings.

Keurig Machine Update

If you've been wondering about buying a Keurig, I saw a black model on sale at my Local Walmart yesterday for $79.00, not the same model as mine, but looks nice.

H B Breakfast Sandwich Maker Recap

Here's a few more things to try in your machine.  See my earlier November 2016 blog for this appliance for seasoning, how to use, set up and cooking times and tips.  Place these items in the following order:

Kelly's Hot Crab Sandwich

1.  1 bun bottom, fresh or frozen
2.  1/4 cup imitation crab, fully cooked
3.  1 egg, seasonings, stir, set timmer for 2 minutes.
4.  1/4 cup spinach
1 tablespoon cilantro, scissor snip cut size
1-2 tablespoons green onion slices, fresh or frozen
5.  1 slice mozzarella cheese
6.  1 bun top, set timer for 1/2 minute.  Unplug machine and remove sandwich.

I love this sandwich with it's bursting flavors.

Kelly's Hot Turkey & Cheese Sandwich

1.  1 bun bottom fresh or frozen
2.  3-6 slices turkey breast
3.  1 egg, seasonings, stir, set timer for 2 minutes.
4.  1 tablespoon parsley, scissor sniped
1-2 tablespoons green onion, fresh or frozen
1/4 cup baby swiss chard leaves or other leafy greens
5.  1 slice cheese
6.  1 bun top, set timer for 1/2 minute, unplug machine and remove sandwich.

Tips:  use your favorite items and what ever cooked meat and items you have on hand to make sandwiches with.  Adjust the cooking time for your machine.  I like the duel machine so 2 different sandwiches can be made at one time and it has a built in timer.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!

Black & Decker Handy Pop'n Serve

1.  Add popcorn kernels to the center of the lid to measure the right amount.

2.  Pour kernels into the machine.  Put on the lid.  Plug in the machine.

3.  Turn on the machine button for about 3 minutes or until there is a 3 second wait between a pop sound.  Turn off machine.

4.  Add any toppings you desire like:  salt, seasoning salt, butter flavored sprinkles or butter spray.  You can melt butter in the top of the lid while the corn is popping.  Pour the popcorn into a serving dish before adding toppings.  Stir or shake if desired.  Yellow popcorn can leave hulls in your gums around your teeth.  To eliminate that I use white or hull less popping corn kernels instead.  If leaving the popcorn plain, you can eat from the canister.  If leaving the machine on too long, just remove any of the discolored pieces.

See my earlier blog about where to find popcorn machines, auction to bid on one or supplies for it.

Keurig Update: Breakfast Trio

See my earlier posts for more information on the basic use of this machine.

Instant Oatmeal

1.  Preheat water.

2.  Choose a mug, bowl or dish.
 Empty pouch into it.

3.  Choose and add water amount.

 Stir.

Cover it to help hold in heat for 2-5 minutes.

You can use a measuring cup for the exact amount of water or come close to it on the choice menu.

4.  Add any of your favorite toppings:  cinnamon, milk, nuts, almond milk, brown sugar, honey, etc.

For this brand (found at the dollar store), I used 2 packages of Peaches and Cream Instant Oatmeal with 8 ounces of water.  Then I stirred in a little cream and topped with  pecans and sweetened dried cranberries and a sprinkling of cinnamon.  You can adjust the thickness of the oatmeal by adding more hot water or less.

Instant Oatmeal Bowl

1. Totally remove the lid.
2.  Add water to the fill line.  For this brand use 4 ounces water.
3.  Stir well, let sit for 2-5 minutes.

I stirred in some cream.  Add any of your favorite toppings.

Instant Cream of Wheat

1.  Place cereal in bowl.

2.  Add 1/2 cup (4 ounces) of Keurig hot water.

3.  Stir until blended.

No need to cover.  It will continue to thicken as it sits for 2-5 minutes.

H B Burritto Maker and Keurig Update

Here's another recipe for you.  See the Oct. 7, 2016 article, if needed, on how to use this machine and put this recipe together.  This recipe is great for breakfast, lunch or supper.  I served it with apple juice and used the Keurig to make Peach and Cinnamon Hot Tea.

Kelly's Fiesta Tacos

2 white corn tortillas

Egg filling:

1 egg
1/16 teaspoon each:  garlic powder, sea salt and black pepper
1 tablespoon each:  onion, sweet peppers, mushrooms

Toppings:
sour cream
sliced avocado
shredded lettuce
salsa
fresh tomatoes
fresh cilantro and basil
2  tablespoons or 1/8 cup, shredded mozzarella cheese

Peach and Cinnamon Hot Tea

3 dried or fresh peach tree leaves (organic)
sprinkle of cinnamon, ground
sweeten  if desired

Follow my earlier blogs about how to use this machine to make hot tea.

How to Use the Avocado Peeler Slicer

Cut a line around the avocado.

Use tool center to remove the pit.

Use divided edge to scoop, slice and peel the avocado.

I love this tool.  I use a lot of fresh avocado and this tool is perfect.  Before the pit was hard to remove.  This perfectly slices while peeling the avocado with a scooping type of move.  Save the seed and grow avocado trees like I do, it's easy!
